Our Child Identification Program addresses the startling fact that each year over 1,000,000 million children are reported missing in the United States. While most are found, many are not, and the abduction of children is both under-reported and rapidly increasing in our country and around the world.
The program provides parents and guardians the means to quickly get vital information to emergency responders. The system we use employs advanced digital technology to capture and store high definition forensic quality fingerprints, photos and physical descriptions of children in the region. It includes:
All materials and information gathered are given
to the parents. Only the permission slip is retained by LVCRC. NO
identification information is kept, copied, or given to any government authority,
unless the parent or guardian chooses to do so.
The costs of the program are underwritten by area businesses and individuals that are committed to protecting our children. These businesses schedule Child ID events throughout the course of the year, typically at their place of business.
