About Us

Mission Statement

Our mission is to increase awareness of educational and developmental opportunities available to children & youth, expand access to these opportunities, and lead community efforts to empower all children to become responsible members of the community in a safe environment.

As part of the LVCRC commitment to the health and safety of children and youth in our service area, a regional Child ID Program has been created, using advanced digital technology to capture and store high definition forensic quality fingerprints,
photos and physical descriptions of children and youth in the region. This service is offered at no cost to
families in our service area.

Widespread dissemination of information about these resources will be achieved by publishing Children & Youth Resource Directories for communities in the region. Copies of these directories are made available to area families via the organizations which provide needed services to families with children in the region, at numerous sponsor locations within each covered community, and by providing copies to schools in the region who might like to distribute copies to their student families.
Regional resource information is also maintained on the our website.

Publishing and distribution of these directories throughout the region will facilitate consumer access to needed services, provide information for a better, more satisfying quality of life and, with earlier contact with the appropriate agencies, promote intervention before issues become a crisis.
